Road Trip: Wenatchee River County Park

Are you headed to Leavenworth for Oktoberfest?  Or planning for the Apple Blossom Festival during April?  Maybe you are like us and need a warm, sunny location for Memorial Day weekend.  Then park your wheels at Wenatchee River County Park!

Wenatchee River County Park, or WRCP, has a great facility with easy access on State Highway 2 in Monitor, Washington.   thumbs up for WRCP WRCPThe sites are laid out in loops lending to its park like setting of large lawns for spreading out and plenty of room for the kids to run around or an impromptu football game.  My favorite loop is B due to its proximity to the play park.  I can relax in my lounge chair right outside my RV and watch the kids all day at the merry-go-round.  The park hosts 49 sites with 43 being full hook-ups for $30 a night/$25 for water & electric.  WRCP is strictly an RV park with no tent camping allowed.  This park is wide open and my kids love to bring their bikes.  The car and truck traffic is very low giving me piece of mind while the kids wander on their toys.  Forget your bike?  No worries, WRCP has bikes to check out.  They offer several amenities like free wifi, laundry, showers, bathrooms, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball hoop, golfing cage, free movie and book check-out, work-out areas, and a Ping-Pong table.  Check out WRCP’s website to learn more.  One downside to WRCP are the passing trains.  They do travel all hours of the day and night.
